The Korea Lottery Commission
consists of a total of 21 members, including a chairman (the
Vice Minister of Strategy and Finance), 11 civilian and 9
government commissioners. Under the commission, a secretariat is
established to deal with practical issues.
Major Functions of KLC
- To Formulate Lottery policy
- To select types of Lottery issuance, Ticket prices, total issue amounts and conditions of issuance
- To deliberate on and coordinate plans for Lottery issuance
- To decide on entrustment of Lottery issue operations
- To determine prize structures and prize pool allocations
- To allocate Lottery proceeds and execute disbursement
- To create policies and plans for the management and execution of the Lottery Fund
- To plan for the execution of Lottery proceeds
- To regulate Lottery sales and advertisement
- To protect players and minors
